This is not that hard to perform provided you have a I generally use a door planer provided I sole have a little bit to grip away same as you perform on your width (1/8")but I would use the maxim to grip away the height.(3/4") If you don't have a door planer then you can be really careful and use the maxim or you can rent a planer from the Tool Rental dept at your local Home Depot. Width: If the door has the saw away (bore)for the door handle already then make sure and saw the 1/8" away about the hinge side. Height: If the door is already bored appropriate to the handle than you will saw the 3/4" away the bottom. They measure appropriate to the door handle from the top about the door. If it's not bored yet than I would grip 3/8" away each end. It sounds same as double the work which it is yet that way it keeps as much about the blocking all the way around the door as possible. Normally there is 1 1/2" about blocking around the external edge about a hollow core door. This should become your door to the correct size.
